Meriden Public School District offers educational programs to students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its curriculum offers a variety of subjects, including mathematics, family consumer science, foreign language, language arts, media, reading, science, social studies, physical education and vocational agriculture. The district also provides health education, and reading and writing courses to students. The extracurricular activities offered to students include the National Honors Society, performing arts, school newspaper, band, orchestra, music, choir, exploratory courses, and community service. The district provides a variety of sports activities to students, including golf, football, track, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, wrestling, bowling, cross-country and cheerleading. Meriden Public School District is located in Meridian, Conn.
