Fitness by Design LLC

Fitness by Design is a personal fitness training service that focuses on the specific goals and needs of each client with professional expertise and experience. The instructors are friendly and memberships are available, as well as classes in yoga, zumba, cardio and aerobics. Twice a year the facility hosts a Biggest Loser competition for fun and prizes. The studio instructors can also offer assistance with meal planning and nutrition. There are private showers and towel services available.

When Joe Gworek walked into a for-sale gym in the Stop & Shop Plaza five years ago, he knew he'd found the new home for his club. After working out at some of the biggest gyms in the country, the Southington, Conn., native knew that he didn't want his members to feel lost and intimidated as they reached for their fitness goals. He also knew what he wanted: a casual, clean and comfortable place for people to work out. To that end, the Club is casual, comfortable, clean and offers an intimate setting for individuals to work out alone or with the guidance of a personal trainer. The staff is proud of its personal service and makes members feel as if they are at home while keeping the space clean and in perfect running order. In addition to personal training services, newly renovated locker rooms and new fitness equipment for all levels, The Club offers tanning, supplements and drinks.
