Person-to-Person is a volunteer-driven, community-based agency that, through a sharing of goods and services, responds to our neighbors who lack basic necessities and resources to improve their lives.
Person-to-Person provides rapid response to client emergencies as well as access to interconnected services that support our clients' journey toward self-sufficiency. These services include practical help, problem solving, advocacy and education. We strive to promote positive change in the lives of our clients and volunteers, and increased community awareness of needs and problems.
Our volunteers and staff work to provide assistance to clients in four key areas: Emergency Assistance (food, clothing and financial assistance), Scholarship Program, Campership Program and Holiday Programs.
At Person-to-Person, volunteers are the lifeblood of the agency and perform essential functions at all levels, from managing programs to scheduling and meeting with clients, picking up donated food and clothing, sorting food and clothing for the Emergency Food Pantry and Clothing Center or serving on the Board of Directors and other volunteer committees. Whether an adult, in high school, middle school or college, retired or working full-time there is an opportunity for all who would like to volunteer.
A 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Person-to-Person depends on the generosity of individuals, foundations, businesses, civic organizations and other agencies to assist us in fulfilling our mission – from those who donate gently-used clothing, non-perishable food or their time to those that make cash contributions and award grants to fund our programs.
