Waterbury Opportunities Industrialization Center (WOIC) is a community-based nonprofit corporation in Waterbury, CT, dedicated to providing skills training and employment opportunities for the unemployed and disadvantaged members of the community. Since its establishment in 1974, WOIC has been committed to helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency, full employment, and self-respect through a diverse range of programs and partnerships.
As an affiliate of Opportunities Industrialization Centers of America, WOIC is led by a dedicated Board of Directors and supported by volunteers and numerous partners. With additional centers located in Bridgeport, New Britain, New Haven, and New London, WOIC continues to empower individuals to build a better future through ongoing programs and the teachings of its founder, Reverend Leon H.
