New Life Church began in the home of Will and Ann Marotti. The couple recruited a few friends and started New Life Church during Easter 1999. They renovated a former pharmacy building and held their first public service there in December of that year.
Six years later, New Life Church merged with the First Hispanic Baptist Church of Meriden and the Calvary Baptist Church. That merger allowed the church to add a ministry center on Bee Street. The thriving multicultural congregation is now 700 strong.
New Life Church offers a cell-based ministry in which small groups of people meet regularly at each other's homes and come together with other groups to worship on the weekends. The church has a day care center in South Meriden. It also offers a variety of programs for members to learn about and practice their faith.
