The Naugatuck Day Care Center is a non-profit agency, run by a board of directors, that is funded by the town. The center, located on Carroll Street, provides year-round care for children ages three to five.
Since its inception in 1975, the day care has operated out of a self-contained building which also includes a playground. All teachers at the center are required to have a Bachelors Degree, an Associates Degree or a Child Development Associate certification. They are also required to be certified by the American Red Cross in Child CPR and First Aid.
