Lisbon Central School serves students in prekindergarten through grade eight. It offers an extensive curriculum that includes arts, science, foreign languages, information technology and physical education. Additionally, the school conducts a variety of special education courses, such as child care, remedial reading, and speech and language development courses. Its staff includes subject teachers, counselors, physical and occupational therapists, psychologist, literacy coordinators, nurses and a librarian. The school, located in Lisbon, Conn., also looks after special dietary needs of its students. The student activities in the school include the National Junior Honor Society, Environmental and garden clubs, band and Canada trip. The garden club members participate in hands-on projects around the school. The club maintains the perennial gardens around the school that includes weeding, preparing the soil, planting and mulching for the winter.
