Founded in 1996, Kidd & Company formed Chatham in 1997 in order to exploit inefficiencies and unmet customer needs in the telecommunications products and services markets. Kidd & Company formed MedSource Technologies in order to address significant unmet customer demand for high quality contract manufacturers in the medical device industry. The company also formed Empower Health in 2001 to improve the management and treatment of chronic health conditions in a highly inefficient and disjointed market. It operates Infinity Bio-Energy, also known as IBE, which acts as a vehicle for the acquisition of operating companies that are engaged in the business of sugarcane-based ethanol production and sugar processing activities.
