This red brick Presbyterian church offers Sunday school, bible study, music programs and a weekly service. The church is active in the community, participating in the interfaith food locker in Waterford and the New London Soup Kitchen. The church began in 1966 with a group of East Lyme and Waterford Christians meeting in private homes. In 1970, the church became the Waterford United Presbyterian Church and rented spaces in various churches around the area. Finally, in 1989, the perish purchased the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church and has been there since. The church currently has 130 active members. Church members are encouraged to donate 15 percent of their annual, undesignated income toward the church and the community. The pastor is currently Rev. Anne E. Fuhrmeister.
