Established in 1875, Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station is involved in the development, advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge. The department investigates insects and ticks that spread disease organisms. It operates through plant pathology and ecology, forestry and horticulture, soil and water, analytical chemistry and biochemistry departments.
