The First United Methodist Church of Greenwich, founded in 1843, is based in a distinctive building on Post Road that's listed with the National Register of Historic Places.
Sunday worship begins at 10:30am, during which time children are invited to attend Sunday School; nursery care is also available for infants starting at 10:15am. A Spanish mass is read on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30pm.
Beyond Sunday School, the FUMC of Greenwich offers its young people the opportunity to participate in the children's Cherub Choir, join the middle-school youth group and partake in some of the congregation's local and international mission projects.
Faith-enrichment and Bible study groups are available for adults. There's also a volunteer Wesley Choir. The church's large hall has a fully equipped kitchen and can accommodate 100 people. It is available for reservation.
