The Farmington Valley Greenway is a 26-mile paved exercise path running through Suffield, East Granby, Simsbury, Avon and Farmington. The Greenway is part of the larger Rails to Trails project which runs from southern Conn. all the way into Southwick, Mass.
The trail was built along a former railroad line that ran through the valley and is now used by the community for walking, jogging, biking and in-line skating. There are parking lots located at several intersections along the path.
Access points to the Greenway can be found on:
Floydville Rd. in Granby, Hartford Ave. in East Granby, Turkey Hills Rd. in East Granby, and Copper Hill Rd. in East Granby.
