Established in 1984, Family ReEntry is an agency that offers a range of services for individuals and families to reduce violence, crime, abuse and neglect. It provides counseling services and psychoeducational programs for offenders and their families. The agency operates the Bridgeport Community ReEntry Center, which offers case management and referral services in the areas of finance, housing, employment, medication, education and nutrition. Family ReEntry administers the Youthful Offenders Mentoring Program, which includes the enhancement of self-confidence and development for youths throughout the state of Connecticut. Additionally, the agency maintains a substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention support group that assists and supports individuals with histories of substance abuse.
