Emmanuel Christian Academy was established in 1975 as a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church. The academy serves students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its core curriculum includes English, math, science, history and Bible study. Emmanuel Christian Academy also offers classes in Spanish, music, band, choir, home economics, physics, computers and speech. The academy s athletic program includes soccer, volleyball, basketball and cheerleading. It operates elementary, junior high and high schools. Emmanuel Christian Academy provides membership option for the American Christian Honor Society (ACHS). The academy s library stocks a collection of textbooks, reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers, and fiction and nonfiction books. It is located in Newington, Conn.
