Great Library, friendly, helpful staff, well organize. I don't live in E. Hmptn. But stop in from time to time anyway. Nice selection of DVD's. Generous computer time policy. Plenty to like here.

Middle Haddam Public Library

Step back into time with a visit to the quaint and historic Middle Haddam Public Library. A small, but inviting collection for adults and children awaits. The Middle Haddam Public Library, a not-for-profit institution, exists to serve the general public from preschoolers to senior citizens by providing a wide variety of materials and programs that foster enjoyment, critical thinking and life-long learning. A commercial establishment until 1825, it was converted first into a dwelling and in 1908 it was donated by Delia Rounds, the former owner, to the local library committee.

Brainerd Memorial Library

With the mission of providing access to information available around the world, the Brainerd Library offers diverse, free classes, talks and concerts for adults, teens and children, hosts special-interest groups and has a range of hardcover and paperback books for sale. There are seasonal displays in the exhibit case and movies in the screening room. Patrons may access the catalog online to order, renew or search for items. IConn and reQuest, Connecticut's research engines, are available in house and online. Patrons are provided opportunities for recreation, job networking, civic engagement, lifelong learning and enrichment.

Levi E Coe Library

Thousands of books, DVDs and magazines line the shelves inside Middlefield's public library. You'll find everything from classic literature to audio books inside. You can also warm up with a cup of coffee on the house. For kids, visit the library's Children's Room. Services include children's storytime, book club and book delivery. Internet is available on public computers. Fax, copy or print documents here. Enjoy peaceful reading in the library's Shakespeare Garden located in the rear of the building. Library card required. (The library honors cards from all other Connecticut libraries)
