Located in a 200-year-old building near the intersection of Chestnut Hill Road and Newtown Avenue, Country Convenience packs a lot into a relatively small space. The store not only offers convenience store staples, such as cigarettes, lottery tickets and beer, but also bagels, muffins, coffee, donuts and ice cream by the scoop. You'll also find breakfast hot off the grill and pizza served fresh from the oven. If not manning the counter, owner Bill Varvaras is usually not far away. He keeps Country Convenience a clean, welcoming place, where he and his many loyal customers are often on a first-name basis with each other.
