Connecticut Dance School is a nonprofit dance school founded in 1970 by Elizabeth Gaynor. The school specializes in rigorous ballet training for ages 3 to adult but also offers recreational classes in ballet, jazz and modern dance. The school is directed by Alan Woodard who danced with the English National Ballet and National Chilean Ballet. In the summer, Connecticut Dance School offers a greater variety of classes, such as flamenco, mime, theater dance, choreography, partnering, modern, crafts, Pilates and yoga. The school is fully equiped with four large dance studios, dressing rooms, a lounge area, costume rooms and a dancewear store.
