Rabbi Alvin Wainhaus became Congregation Or Shalom's first Rabbi in 1981 and has led this very close community with a wide range of educational and music programs ever since. Congregation Or Shalom takes part in the annual Thanksgiving Interfaith service along with six other local congregations. Or Shalom offers a Sisterhood group for women, a Men's Club, Sunday School, Hebrew School and Kinder Kreations program.
