Located directly behind the Parks and Recreation office on Blonders Boulevard, Colonel Ledyard Park is one of the gems among the department's many parks and recreational facilities. The 131-acre park has baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, handball and tennis facilities, plus two horseshoe pits by the picnic pavilion. There also is a large barbecue grill and a playground area by the 100-foot, lighted pavilion. The park has restrooms and a 2.5-mile walking trail.
