The Clinton Police Department, led by chief of police Todd Lawrie, is located at 170 East Main Street in a new building built in 2004. The department is composed of approximately 25 sworn officers and additional staff members consisting of full- and part-time dispatchers, administrative assistants, records clerks, custodians and animal control officers. The department has a DARE program and student resource officer programs. The building also houses a spacious community room that's available for meetings.
