Charter Oak State College is a distance learning facility located in New Britain, Conn. Established in 1973, the college offers more than 150 video and online courses. It is approved by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Connecticut State Board for Higher Education. The college has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and offers degrees in art and science programs. The college also offers professional certificate programs in project management, computer security and public safety administration. Additionally, the college operates an online bookstore that offers a variety of books and reference materials. Charter Oak State College also provides workforce development training services for health agencies.
