Alexa Grocery is a work in progress. Since 2002, this spot has been selling fresh fruits and vegetables, groceries, household items, lotto tickets, tobacco products, newspapers and baked goods to residents of its South Main Street neighborhood. The owner, Jose Alejandro, has recently added a credit card processing machine and plans to serve up hamburgers, french fries, sandwiches and specialty takeout food items from the deli counter, which occupies one side of the tiny space and currently sits idle. He appreciates his loyal clientele and looks forward to bringing in new business with his deli offerings.
