Brooks Brothers was opened as H & D.H. Brooks & Company in 1818 by Henry Sands Brooks. Later renamed Brooks Brothers by his three sons, the store became known for its ready-to-wear suit. Over the next 150 years, the store introduced a variety of unique clothing items to the American public.
These included the button-down dress shirt, English Foulard ties, the pink dress shirt, the Shetland sweater, the polo coat, madras, argyles, light-weight summer suits, wash-and-wear shirts and most recently the non-iron cotton dress shirt.
Today, Brooks Brothers offers a large selection of men's and women's casual wear, as well as ready-to-wear and custom tailored suits.
The Greenwich Avenue sales team is extremely friendly and eagerly awaits to serve the customer's every need. For a detailed view of the current season's clothing line, please visit the website.
