Bristol Eastern High School, established in 1959, is a secondary school offering educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students and is part of the Bristol School District. It is recognized by the Department of Education as a nationally accredited blue ribbon school. The school provides educational programs in art, business, English, family and consumer science, health, math, music, physical education, science, social studies, technology education and world languages. It also provides special education to students with special needs. The school s colors are blue and grey and its mascot is the lancer. It has athletic teams in football, cross country, soccer, swimming, volleyball, basketball, track and field, wrestling, baseball, tennis, golf and softball. The school offers various extracurricular activities, such as band, dance, leadership club, the National Honor Society and outdoors club. Bristol Eastern High School is located in Bristol, Conn.
