The senior center is located at Sycamore Hills Park, abutting the Sycamore Hills Recreation Area. The mission statement of the senior center states that the staff at the senior center aims to "enhance the quality of life for all Avon senior residents" and support "the social, educational, physical and psychological needs of all senior residents" through activities and counseling services. Alan E. Rosenberg is the director of social services, the seniors' municipal representation. Jennifer Bennett is the center coordinator. According to the senior center website, the center provides medical programs for seniors, including foot care clinics on the first Monday of the month from 9am to noon and blood pressure screenings on the second Monday of the month from 11am to 1pm. Seniors can also socialize at community lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a suggested donation of $2. New players are invited to joing the veteran players at bridge on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:45pm to 3pm and setback on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm. The senior center also has a pool table, and there are games on Thursdays from 9:30am to 10:30am and Wii bowling on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
