The Tri-County Health Department is the largest local health department in Colorado. The department serves more than 1 million residents in Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties in Colorado. Its public health services include providing immunizations, family planning and prenatal care, birth and death certificates, improving nutrition, conducting restaurant inspections and assuring sanitation. The organization is also part of the Center for Disease Control s nationwide Health Alert Network, a high-speed communication system that enables the department to dispense urgent information to a network of hospitals, physicians, schools and emergency agencies. The Tri-County Health Department has its administrative office in Greenwood Village and additional offices in Englewood, Aurora, Brighton, Castle Rock, Littleton, Commerce City, Northglenn and Denver.
