The Sherpa Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Edwards, CO, dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Himalayan communities while preserving the dignity and integrity of Sherpa and Himalayan culture. Since 2015, they have rebuilt close to 200 homes for families affected by the devastating earthquake, as well as restored historic monasteries in the Mt. Everest region. Recognized by the Government of Nepal for their timely efforts, the foundation works tirelessly to improve basic needs, shelter, safety, health, and education across the Himalayas.
Founded by Mr. Pemba Tenzing Sherpa, the Sherpa Foundation received Nepal's prestigious Jana Sewa Shree award and the Medal of Honor from the first female president of Nepal, Ms. Bidya Devi Bhandari, in 2016. Comprised of dedicated volunteers, the foundation welcomes partnerships and aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need, while creating unforgettable memories.
