Pete's A Pie Denver is brought to you by husband and wife team Joel and Alicia Mehr. Before opening their location at Junction Food & Drink at Colorado Center, Joel and Alicia operated Pete's New Haven Style Apizza, a successful fast-casual pizza restaurant group in the competitive Washington DC market. And before that - in fact before they had even met - Joel managed a pizzeria on Manhattan's upper west side, and Alicia ... well, Alicia grew up in the best pizza city in the country: New Haven, Connecticut.

A chef-driven pizza purveyor using fresh, all-natural ingredients in the new Junction Food & Drink Market at Colorado Center. Traditional and deep-dish by the slice or whole pie. Get a salad too! New Haven style pizza, known locally as apizza (pronounced ah-BEETZ), is characterized by crust that is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and ingredients that are carefully selected and all-natural, often locally sourced. Baked on a hot stone deck, the ingredients all blend together onto the unique and delicious crust, with the Wisconsin mozzarella browning to a beautiful crisp and the crust developing tangy dark bubbles from the air pockets that are left during the special dough mixing process.
