Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch is a facility that serves the Boy Scouts of America. It is located more than 60 miles southeast of Denver and a few miles south of the town of Elbert, Colo. The ranch consists of 3,300-plus acres of mountain park terrain at approximately 7,000 feet in elevation along the Palmer Divide in the Black Forest. The site is a working ranch with more than 1,000 acres devoted to farming and grazing. The ranch is divided into several camps, including Camp Cris Dobbins, which is a traditional, dining hall-style summer camp; Camp Dietler, a camp designed to build and strengthen the troop-and-patrol method; Eagle Point, which offers flexibility in program design; and Magness Adventure Camp, which offers Cub Scout programs.
