We started as a small mom and pop company in 2011 and have grown to employ several guides that take trips out all summer and winter.

Glenwood Climbing Guides is the only licensed, insured, and permitted guiding company in the greater Glenwood Springs area. Whether you have never climbed before and just want a fun day, or you want to learn how to climb your first big wall, we have you covered. We provide rock and ice climbing guiding and instruction for people of all ages and abilities in Glenwood Canyon, Rifle Mountain Park, Unaweep Canyon and beyond. GCG employs guides who are experienced, trained or certified by theAmerican Mountain Guides Association American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and are certified in Wilderness First Aid or Responder and CPR. All of our guides are dedicated professionals who are committed to the task of providing the best climbing experience possible, adhering to the safest guiding and instructing practices possible.
