Located in Colorado Springs, Colo., Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center is a privately funded nonprofit organization founded in 1936. The center offers an art museum, performing arts theater and school of art and education. It is spread over an area of more than 88,000-square-feet and is listed with the National Register of Historic Places. Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center has the Taylor Museum, that has collections from Spanish colonial, Native American arts of the Southwest and works of American art from the late 19th century. The center also has the Performing Arts department that features a Repertory Theatre Company that produces Broadway musicals and organizes film festivals, dance performances, recitals and concerts.
