Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver offer five-core program initiatives including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. Established in 1961, the club offer a range of after school programs for children and disadvantaged youth ages six through 18 and serve more than 23,000 members annually. The clubs, based in Denver, provides prevention programs for youth that includes gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and pregnancy prevention. Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is affiliated with the national program of Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
