History
When Japan opened it's doors to the foreign world during the Meiji Restoration in the 19th century, cuisines from around the world flooded into Japanese Culture. As time progressed, Western Cuisines began to gradually merge with traditional Japanese cuisine resulting in Yayoi-Ken which opened in1886, and introduced Japanese people to a whole new world of food. Yayoi-Ken has been serving much loved Teishoku in Japan. As we introduce authentic Teishoku dining the U.S. we will continue to remain true to our roots.
