Wings was founded by Sherman Chan and Irma Velasquez, whose son, Aaron, was able to overcome the challenges of autism and communicate with his peers, fully-immersed in a social environment.
The school, whose students range in age from 5 to 22, maintains that all students can learn in an environment that caters to their pace. Just because a student has autism doesn't mean he or she can not develop the skills needed to enter the professional world.
Class sizes are limited to six to eight students.
