HistoryOur church was founded in 1985 and have since branched out to be able to serve a vast southern California landscape. Our mother church in the Philippines was founded in 1909, in the midst of American missionaries, as the first indigenous Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church that is self-governing and self-propagating. Currently, The First IEMELIF Church in Duarte is one of 7 branches in North America, including one in Pasadena, CA; one in San Diego, CA; one in Jersey City, NJ, and 3 in Ontario, BC.SpecialtiesOur church was founded in 1909 as the first indigenous Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church in the Philippines. Our branch in Duarte, CA is best describe as a small family that reflects the love of God amoung its members and everyone else. Everyone has a role to play in our community, and has an eager spirit to grow in God's word.
