The American Baptist Seminary of the West is a Christ-centered school that offers theological education. The seminary's mission is to educate students for Christian service. The school has partnership with the congregations, regions and institutions of the American Baptist Churches, the Progressive National Baptist Convention and the Graduate Theological Union. ABSW admits applicants without regard to age, race, color, gender, religious affiliation or national origin. The institute offers courses that include Master of Divinity and Master of Arts. ABSW also offers on-campus housing for its students and students enrolled in one of the GTU schools. The school has office in Berkeley, Calif.
