History
Wendy von Wiederhold, PhD (psy#15420) is a clinical psychologist in private practice with offices in San Francisco and St Helena. She has focused much of her 20+ year practice on adolescent, couple, and adult psychotherapy, and parent consultation. In recent years, Dr. von Wiederhold has specialized in treating patients who struggle with medical conditions such as breast and other cancers, and neurological disorders, and those confronting end-of-life issues and decisions. She is particularly interested in palliative care, and working with families and caretakers coping with serious or life-threatening illness. She has held supervisory and faculty positions at Access Institute, the Wright Institute, CPMC, and the Institute on Aging. She has written numerous articles, and has trained and presented nationwide on attachment, complex trauma, and foster children.
