Modern Ideas, Traditional Ideals The only independent K-12 Jewish community day school in Orange County and one of the largest in the nation, TVT was established by Irving Gelman, a Holocaust survivor, in loving memory of Naomi Gelman Weiss. It is a tribute to the Tarbut schools that flourished in Eastern Europe before the Holocaust. An award-winning school, TVT has achieved: The highest level of accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and accreditation through California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) Recognition by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence - State of the art technology integrated into all classrooms - A library with the largest Judaica collection in Orange County.
