Unlike those who grew up around antiques, I made this self-discovery after taking an upholstery class and searching for chairs, ottomans, sofas and footstools in need of a new life. I couldn't resist picking up various objects to add interest and character to my home. But how many beautiful things can a girl have? Being of a practical nature, I came up with a way to fund my passion. I would find fantastic pieces with charm and history as well as the occasional oddity, match them with a new home and keep the cycle turning. And oh yes, I could keep the finds I fall in love with along the way. I decided to call my little enterprise La Petite Chaise and made it official in 2000.
