United Church of Christ (UCC) was born when First Congregational Church and Grace Evangelic joined in 1957. Since then, it has evolved into a dynamic and modern church with a strong social justice mission.
UCC is led by the young Blythe Sawyer and is a LGBT-friendly church. It offers a youth group and confirmation classes and several years ago began a food pantry program that, in conjunction with other religious organizations, feeds up to 100 people a day.
In addition, the church rents out space for weddings, conversation groups, classes and other events.
