UniHealth Foundation is a charitable foundation that focuses on supporting health care services and programs. Through grants, the foundation makes accessible funding for programs in three areas: education, prevention and treatment. To aid education, the foundation looks for proposals whose aims are to positively impact health and well being by providing information and skills critical to accessing and utilizing health care services. To aid prevention, the foundation seeks programs and projects that aim to prevent ill health and promote wellness. To aid treatment, the foundation provides direct medical services otherwise unavailable but necessary for the good health and well being of individuals residing in their service area. The foundation was formed in 1998 when UniHealth, previously a vertically integrated health care delivery system, changed its means of fulfilling its service goals and became a grant-making organization. UniHealth Foundation has headquarters in Los Angeles, California.
