History
The Mad Attic was started as a community outreach on October 24, 1960 by a group of women at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church. As one of the oldest nonprofits operating in the Conejo Valley, the shop has donated more than $1 million in proceeds to local charities and scholarships to area students. The store relies entirely on donations from the community and a dedicated team of volunteers. The Mad Attic was originally located in an old auto repair shop at the corner of Hillcrest and Old Conejo School Road until the city claimed the property to widen the roadway. The Mad Attic has been in its current location, the old Moose Lodge on Skyline, for over three decades - continuing our important work to support our community.
