History
Opened as one of L.A.'s first co-ops, offering their residents hotel amenities. Many silent film stars lived here when it first opened, as well as dignitaries, masters of industry and elite from the east coast and mid-west. Richard Nixon kept an apartment, in the Gaylord, during his campaign for governor of California. The Gaylord, bringing distinguished luminaries and creative people harmoniously together since 1924.
