On April 11th, 1947, husband and wife duo Ellen and Allan Baker first opened the doors to The Apple Pan. The tiny, 26-seat diner, with its disctinct U-shaped counter and cozy plaid walls, was exactly the unpretentious, homey diner the first-time restaurateurs had envisioned. The Bakers dilligently tested and perfected their favorite family recipes from their small home kitchen just a few blocks away until every item was just right. The menu was simple, and every detail reflected the Baker's commitment to quality ingredients and careful preparation. Now, generations later, The Apple Pan still proudly upholds the motto
