Temple Heights Elementary School is part of the Vista Unified School District and enrolls students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Shari Fernandez is the principal.
The school provides an engaging, safe learning environment with high expectations and accountability for all students. Since the school was founded, it has established a strong academic program for all students. The instructional program focuses on the core curriculum and is based upon California’s content and performance standards and frameworks. The school has well articulated curriculum standards at all grade levels, and communicates these standards to parents at Back-to-School Night at the beginning of the year and Parent-Teacher conferences in November.
Students are in attendance from 8:25am-2:43pm daily, except on Wednesdays, which is an early out day and the children are dismissed at 1:30pm. Teachers are on campus daily from 8am-3pm. Temple Heights offers a breakfast program for all children, served daily from 7:45am – 8am.
Before and after school care is available at this campus. The program is open 6:30am-6:00pm providing care before and after school and during intersession. You can obtain additional information by calling the AM-PM Program office at 643-2677.
