Established in 1989, Bernard Hughes Elementary School provides education to more than 430 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Its academic curriculum includes reading, mathematics, science, physical education and social studies. The school has a library and media center that offers various print and electronic resources. It has 16 permanent and 15 portable classrooms and employs a staff of more thna 50 full- and part-time teachers.
