History

Taqueria Las Comadres was founded by Carlos and Teresa Mendoza and first opened its doors for business in Oakland's Dimond District in 1985. Carlos was born in Michoacan, Mexico and his wife, Teresa is a native of San Francisco. Together, they saw a need for a new style Mexican restaurant inspired by the San Francisco Mission district.

Literally one of my favorite Mexican spots in the Bay Area and it's in Montclair of all places. Don't listen to these negative reviews this place never disappoints me. Super burrito the way to go
