History
Sutter Buttes Canine is an independent donor supported 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, run by committed volunteers. We are a No-Kill Shelter. We provide care for abandoned and homeless animals until we place them in permanent homes. We are dedicated to providing humane treatment and quality of life for the animals. In 2008 we built a brand new Animal Shelter which houses 18-20 dogs and puppies. The Shelter has beautiful, roomy indoor/outdoor kennels, with a play yard, grooming room, office, reception area and quarantine area. We also opened Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue Thrift Shop in March of 2008. All proceeds from the Thrift Shop directly benefit the Shelter. The Thrift Shop proceeds help to provide medical care, vaccines, spaying and neutering, food and any other necessities the animals may require while in our care. We hold adoption sites within the community and provide humane education and conduct Pet Therapy in the Care homes.
