The Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency (SBFCA) is a joint powers agency established in 2007 by the Counties of Butte and Sutter, along with several cities and levee districts in California. With a 13-member board comprised of elected officials, SBFCA is responsible for financing and constructing regional levee improvements to reduce flood risk and protect over 34,000 properties in the Sutter Basin.
SBFCA's efforts include strategic projects such as the Feather River West Levee Project, Sutter Basin Flood Risk Management Project, Tudor Flood Risk Reduction Project, Oroville Flood Risk Reduction Project, and more. Through assessments and collaborations with member agencies, SBFCA aims to provide 200-year flood protection and ensure the safety and security of the communities it serves.
