Remarkably few tables line the walls, on which lush photos of Yosemite taken by the sushi chef are hung. An array of sake bottles, a low bookshelf with potted plants -- everything inside is arranged with care. Sushi Koko has been owned and operated by Pacifica resident Kyoko Romero and her family for 11 years. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center perched between Highway 1 and the sea.
Ingredients are fresh and hand-picked by the chef. The restaurant has its own green tea blend, and the miso, dressings and sauces are made in-house from scratch. In addition to a full sushi menu, Sushi Koko offers a range of traditional Japanese appetizers and combination dinners.
